Originally from North America and Europe it is very popular in the United States. The cranberry fruits are similar to cherries with intense red color and a very acidic taste, which gives to beverages a very refreshing touch. Its harvest is traditionally made during the autumn in the Northern Hemisphere (October-November). In the United States, the cranberry is present on national holidays, being prepared in many ways in cooking or in preparation of drinks and refreshments. Among north-Americans, this fruit is considered as a symbol of a healthy lifestyle.
